Website UI/UX Designer

Remote
Contracted
Mid Level
We are an educational assessment company, and have an upcoming project to develop a Digital Literacy assessment in Arabic.  This is similar to PIACC (https://www.oecd.org/en/about/programmes/piaac.html) so they will be not multiple choice, but rather interactive, such as simulating a Dentist website with a few pages (Home, About, Locations, Schedule) and asking the user to pick a certain location and schedule an appointment.  This is of course easy for digital natives, but the purpose of the test will be to evaluate and teach those who are not digital natives.

To build this assessment, we need to design and create a bunch of fake websites.  Your role will be to create the mockups and content, which will then be converted into interactive simulations by our Angular developers.  You then provide QA on the finished results.

If interested, submit your application and provide a cover letter which details your experience in developing websites with various content.

  • Conceptualize the item situations, such as dentist appointment, sending money online, booking a cinema ticket
  • Research some examples
  • Create wireframe mockups of the website, with full text you write in Arabic
  • Help our developers to develop the simulations
  • Perform quality assurance on the finished product to ensure everything works correctly and the Arabic is correct

  • Native Arabic speaker
  • Strong English (we have two Arabic speakers on staff, but most are in USA/Poland/Argentina)
  • Experience in designing website layout using wireframes
  • Experience in website content development

  • Compensation: $10-15 per hour (USD)
